Our recommendation is to book your accommodations as soon as possible, as lodging in Nashville gets booked many months in advance and especially for the summer.

Transport

Air Travel: Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the primary airport serving the Nashville Metropolitan Area, conveniently located just a short distance from the city center. Taxi or rideshare services are readily available at BNA. Several airport shuttle companies operate at BNA, providing shared or private transfers to various destinations within the city (including some hotels). If you prefer, numerous car rental companies are located at the airport. If relying on public transportation to get from the airport to the city center, Nashville MTA buses also connect to the Music City Star transit system

Road Travel: If you're driving to Nashville, the city is easily accessible via major interstate highways.

From the North: I-65 South & I-24 South

From the South: I-65 North & I-24 North

From the East or West: I-40

Parking

Although parking is available in Downtown Nashville, it is scarce and there is no dedicated parking at the Schermerhorn Center. We therefore recommend walking or using rideshare/taxi services to get to the wedding venue.

Attractions and Activities

As you plan your visit to our wedding, we want to ensure you make the most of your time in this iconic American city. We've compiled a list of top attractions and experiences that we highly recommend during your stay:

Broadway: Downtown Nashville's vibrant main street, just one block over from our wedding venue, is lined with honky-tonks (live country music dance halls), bars, clubs, restaurants, and shops. Active both at day and night, this electric atmosphere is enhanced by live music in all directions pouring out of every venue, inviting you to dance, sing along, and soak in the authentic Nashville spirit. Enjoy a variety of music genres, from country to rock to jazz to hip hop, played by countless talented local musicians. Broadway is the heart of Nashville's entertainment scene and one of the liveliest party destinations in the world, making it a must-visit for music enthusiasts and anyone seeking a good time.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum: Immerse yourself in the rich history of country music at this iconic museum (ranked consistently as the top single attraction in the area), dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legends of the genre for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Explore exhibits, memorabilia, and interactive displays that offer a captivating journey through the evolution of country music.

The Grand Ole Opry: Catch a show at the world's longest-running radio show and witness the home of American music. The Grand Ole Opry continues to host iconic artists and rising stars, preserving the rich traditions of country, bluegrass, and gospel music. Johnny Cash Museum: Make a point to step away for a short respite from Broadway's high energy to contemplate the legacy of one of the most famous names in all of Americana.

The Parthenon serves as an art museum and houses impressive sculptures and exhibits. It's a great spot for a leisurely walk, picnics, or relaxing amid serene surroundings.

Cuisine

While in Nashville, don't miss the opportunity to savor the unique Southern cuisine of Tennessee and explore the city's diverse dining scene. Here are some local favorites you should definitely try:

Hot Chicken: Treat your taste buds to Nashville's signature dish: hot and spicy fried chicken! We recommend Hattie B's and Prince's Hot Chicken Shack.

Barbecue: Dive into the world of lip-smacking barbecue, with various joints serving up tender ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. For our vegetarians, be sure to try the many "side" dishes that are often just as good if not better than the "main." Our local favorites are Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint, Edley's BBQ, and Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q.

Southern Comfort: Indulge in other classic Southern comfort dishes like fried green tomatoes and biscuits. Depending on the setting you prefer, we recommend Monell's, Husk, Urban Grub, and Loveless Café.

Breakfast/Brunch: The Music City is especially known for breakfast and brunch spots, with so many new places every month. Some favorites include Pancake Pantry, Fido, Ruby Sunshine, Pinewood Social, and as previously mentioned—Urban Grub, Biscuit Love, and Loveless.

Fine Dining: Nashville has a tremendous food scene to include the best steakhouses (Kayne Prime, Harper's, Bourbon, Oak, Jeff Ruby's, Eddie V's) and finest contemporary dining (Drusie & Darr, Husk, 5th & Taylor, Josephine, The Standard, and The Catbird Seat).

Weather, Health, and Safety

Get ready for warm and sunny weather in June in Nashville, with average temperatures ranging from 70°F (21°C) to 88°F (31°C). It's the perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities and explore the city's attractions comfortably. But don't forget to pack some sunscreen and stay hydrated, so you can fully enjoy our wedding festivities. Although not necessary in most cases, you are welcome to wear a mask to wedding events if you would prefer.

While Nashville is a safe city, please be mindful of the number of tourist visitors that will be crowded in public spaces and take appropriate precautions. Please observe all recommendations and directions from the wedding staff and Metropolitan Nashville Police.
